Blog #3 Illustrator Tools

Blog #3 Illustrator Tools The tools I looked at for this assignment were the Pen Tool, Direct Selection Tool, and the Paint Bucket Tool. The pen tool seems easy enough but I feel like it will become super tedious for certain projects that require modifying the line. I like the tool and from practicing it in class a little it doesn't seem that bad. However, I feel like it will become tedious and slow me down at certain times for huge projects that require a lot of curves or special curves and lines. I had one question while watching this video. Can you copy and paste curves? I know you can probably do it with shapes and so I'm assuming you can do it with lines as well. This would make it super easy for those projects with duplicates of the same shape. Something that I found interesting or really helpful is that by pressing shift, the lines maintain a perfect 45 degree angle. The paint bucket tool seems easy enough. This type of tool has been in countless other programs that ar...

The internet is a global network of billions of computers and electronic devices that all use the Internet Protocol Suite. It started in the 1960s when computer scientists started developing systems for time-sharing of computer resources. The “official birthday” of the internet is considered to be on January 1st, 1989. Prior to that date, computer networks did not have a regular way to communicate to each other. Bob Kahn and Vin Cerf created the Internet Protocol Suite which controls how data is moved through a network. Today, we use the internet everyday. From searching, social media, learning, and communicating. The internet is all around us and can connect us from one side of the planet to the other.  The World Wide Web was created in 1989 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist. He created it while at CERN but it wasn’t a CERN project. The World Wide Web is all the public websites or pages that users can access on their computers or devices. The first server...

My name is Natalie and I am taking the Digital Media course at University of Tampa.I am from Cocoa Beach, Florida but I have lived in both California and Virginia due to moving for my dad and moms work. I am a double major in Film and Media and Communications, which I recently switched to just last semester. When I am not working on homework or at work, I can be found watching the Tampa Bay Lightning or Green Bay Packers, or anywhere outside. Another fun fact about me is that I am a professional scuba diver and have been diving since 2018! I love everything about the underwater but ironically, I’m scared of fish or rather fish touching me (I know its actually so weird). I am pretty active on campus and involved in the Scuba Club, Swim Club, and manage the school's ice hockey team.  I chose to take this class because way back in highschool I got certified in photoshop, however, I barely passed and have since barely used it. I also feel that learning how to use photoshop, i...
